about me

I thought I would give you all a little insight into myself and what makes me the person I am.  Unfortunately, I get all awkward when it comes to talking about myself, and I literally do not know what to say about the one person I should know the best in the whole wide world: me.

So instead of putting us all through the standard  “getting to know you” questions, I turned to trust Google to find me 50 Random Questions About Yourself.

It brought me to a Star Trek forum.  Hey.  I’m game.  Whatever works, right?

I won’t answer all 50, but it’s a start, right?

If you had to be named after one of the fifty states, which would it be?

Arizona!  I heard it on Grey’s Anatomy, and I thought it was cool.  Would I name any of my kids that?  Most likely not, but it’s one of the fifty names that could actually pass as a name.  I like Kansas too.  Also because I heard it on TV… hehe.

What do you use more often, the dictionary or the thesaurus.

Oddly enough, the thesaurus.  Synonyms actually help me better understand the meanings of words I don’t know vs. the dictionary definitions.  Same goes for describing words people don’t know.  Sometimes, I can use it correctly, but I can’t describe it.  Finding synonyms is my “play it safe” way of giving someone the meaning of an unknown word…  As you can probably tell, my reading-for-pleasure hobby died off long ago.

What is your favorite breakfast food?

Waffles!  I eat them dry like a slice of bread, with syrup, or with butter.  They’re good with milk or orange juice… you really can’t go wrong with waffles.

What is the longest you’ve ever waited in line?

I can’t tell you how long I waited, since I lost count after about 15 minutes, but any given department store return line right after Christmas?  You’d better bring a book.  Or in today’s world, your iPhone.

If you could live in any home on a television series, what would it be?

Hmm.  I would have to say it’s a toss-up between the house on 8 Simple Rules (does anyone remember that show?), because it’s not overly large, but modest, and big enough to have two staircases (ooh la la), and the house in The Blind Side… cheating, because it’s a movie, but that house was go-or-or-or-geous!  I would love to have a home like that one day.  Ha.  One day far away.
